Feature Suggestions for Glynce Pro
I’m using Glynce Pro with my FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus, and I have a few suggestions that I think would make the app even better. Automatic glucose updates without LibreLink running in the background Other apps, such as FLwatch, can retrieve glucose readings directly from compatible Libre 2 sensors without needing the Libre app running in the background. However, Glynce currently seems to depend on LibreLink remaining open. Since we pay for Glynce Pro, would it be possible to find a way for glucose readings to continue updating automatically without requiring another app to run in the background? I understand that this may depend on Abbott’s system and the sensor being used, but it would be a great improvement if technically possible. Insulin tracking and an insulin activity graph It would be great to have a feature that lets us see which insulin we inject it, then display its expected activity on the glucose graph. For example, I use NovoRapid, a rapid-acting insulin. The graph could show when the insulin is expected to start working, when its effect is strongest, and approximately when its activity ends. This would help users understand how their insulin doses relate to their glucose levels throughout the day. Ideally, users could select their insulin type, as different insulins have different activity profiles. Customisable glucose update intervals Could you add a setting that lets users choose how frequently they want their glucose readings to refresh, with options such as: * Every 1 minute * Every 5 minutes * Every 10 minutes * Every 15 minutes and so on… This would allow users to choose their preferred update frequency, depending on their needs and device battery life. Of course, the available intervals would need to respect the sensor’s actual reading frequency and any technical limitations. Customisable Apple Watch app appearance I’d like to be able to customise the appearance of the Glynce app and its complications on my Apple Watch. Currently, the display appears white, and I’d prefer to have coloured elements to make glucose readings and trends easier to distinguish at a glance. For example, customisable colours for glucose values, trend arrows and graphs would make the watch interface more useful and visually appealing. Customisable Graph Time Range Across All Devices I would like to suggest adding a setting that allows users to choose how many hours of glucose data they want to see on their graphs, with options such as: * 3 hours * 6 hours * 12 hours * 24 hours Currently, the time ranges differ depending on where you view the graph. For example, the iPhone Home Screen widget shows 6 hours, the Lock Screen shows 3 hours, and the Apple Watch shows 6 hours. It would be much more convenient if we could choose one preferred time range and have it applied consistently across all devices and widgets. Ideally, users should be able to select up to 24 hours so they can review their glucose trends throughout the entire day. This would make it easier to compare glucose patterns across the iPhone, Lock Screen and Apple Watch without having to interpret different time ranges on each device. Please consider adding a universal graph time-range setting that synchronises the selected duration across all supported displays, with 24 hours as the maximum option. I believe these improvements would make Glynce Pro more convenient, informative and customisable, particularly for people who rely on continuous glucose monitoring every day.
